The following pricing policy covers your purchase of gold and silver bars or coins from CGE. We are a large-volume discount dealer with a minimum transaction of $20,000 for new clients. If you are buying in smaller quantities we suggest you shop at the first two brands mentioned below to find the lowest price.
This policy was enacted to protect purchasers of gold and silver from the many Southern California dealers that dramatically overcharge.
The 5 firms below are not part of that group of dealers and are all held in high reguard. They are all online discounters with a history of posting competitive prices. We are in no way associated with the firms listed below and only use their names to show which companies websites we will automatically check prices to provide our clients with this pricing guarantee.
CGE will attempt to beat the product premiums of all the online dealers listed below when clients meet our transaction minimum of $20,000.00 or more for like kind items. The prices must be posted on the following competitors’ website which includes 5 of the highest volume discounters in the United States.
We do the heavy lifting so you don’t have to. Before you can place your order with our call center staff, we will check all 5 websites above to find the lowest posted price on your selected items.
We will then attempt to beat the lowest posted price of the day. If we can’t beat it for one of the reasons listed below, you can purchase from the firm offering the lowest quote.
CGE will also take a screenshot of the website page listing the lowest price of the day and maintain that in our secured cloud for proof that our price was better.
This policy DOES NOT include items on sale or as part of a promotion. Items out of stock on the above websites, financed, clearance or damaged items. Nor credit card, gift card or items paid on installment.
Additionally, the Certified Gold Exchange only deals in widely traded items and may not buy or sell all of the items on the above discounters’ websites.
When applicable to all other conditions on this policy, we will beat silver prices by a few cents and gold prices by a few dollars. If you find a lower online price outside of the firms mentioned above, please give us a call and we will always do our best to beat it.
We maintain the right to refuse to buy from or sell to anyone at any time. Refusal to continue with a transaction could be due to the following reasons or any other reason we deem acceptable.
We don’t have sufficient quantities in inventory in order to facilitate delivery within 5 days.
The price we are attempting to beat offers us less than a 4% profit on the transaction.
Mistreatment of CGE staff. We require all transactions to be non combative and friendly. This allows us to treat our clients like superstars and for staff to keep moral.
We keep the lights on by dealing in volume. Our minimum sale is $20,000 USD for new clients while current clients may purchase in volumes of $20,000 or greater.
Once you confirm your transaction, the price is locked in/set at that moment. If metals prices change after the order is confirmed, it will not affect your price, meaning you will not pay less or more than the confirmed price.
Our Price Match Plus Guarantee attempts to cover the largest online retailers with the list above but DOES NOT cover prices from dealers not listed. In those cases, you are encouraged to call us, and we will always do our best to save you a few dollars.
Service to others matters: If you are purchasing smaller quantities (under $20,000), you can always call our staff to see who has the best price of the day. We may not facilitate the deal but will help to make sure you don’t overpay and avoid dealers with less than stellar reputations.

When I spoke with coin dealer David White, he was able to give me a quote in 3.5 hours. He also explained the importance of shipping my coins via registered mail with the Post Office. David said that the Post Office requires a registered box to be sealed with brown paper tape to prevent tampering. David emailed me links to sites that showed the right tape to use and how to seal the box. He called several UPS stores in my neighborhood to try to find the tape for me. In the end, I bought the tape from the Post Office. David explained that while Fedex and UPS would ship the coins, since they are not allowed to ship gold or silver, I would have no recourse if my coins were lost. David even gave me his home number so I could reach him after hours if necessary.
