PCGS also certifies gold “type” coins such as the Indian Princess coins, which are very rar4e and sough after almost exclusively by collectors. You may also send in territorial gold coins to PCGS for condition certification. Keep in mind that PCGS will examine any coin for its condition and assign a grade within the Sheldon Scale of 1-70, and more than a high grade is required for a PCGS certified gold coin to be classified as investment-grade.
PCGS has certified numerous coins that are now in the Smithsonian Institution, which is further evidence that this grading company remains the expert in numismatics. PCGS does not buy or sell gold coins, so if you wish to trade in the rare coin market about any of the types of PCGS certified gold coins you can find a local dealer in our online directory or contact the Certified Gold Exchange directly for more information.
